28th Feb Stars Launch Hockey Fights Cancer
Event!

The Armagh Stars Inline Hockey Club are holding a “Hockey Fights Cancer” event in Armagh City centre on Saturday 10th March. The stars only brought Inline Hockey to Armagh in November 06, but have rapidly grown in their short life span. The club has now over 30 players competing at Snr & Jnr level, and has recently held their first two competitive friendlies.

Thanks to their sponsors City Property Services & The ADL Group, the club has been able to provide beginner equipment, training, and jerseys for the club members.  Their next big event is a charity raising day, being held on Saturday the 10th March, in Armagh City Centre from 11am- 3pm.

The club will have a stand in the city centre setup with a set of hockey goals, and their goalie. Each member of the public, who makes a donation to Action Cancer, will get to shoot on the goalie. Anyone who scores wins a free ticket to a Coors Belfast Giants game!

The Belfast Giants have joined up with the Stars for this event, to promote healthy living and to help Cancer Research.
The Giants will be sending a number of their players along on the day to help out and will provide winners with free tickets to one of their games.

The club has began an advertising poster campaign around the Armagh area to get as much support at the event as possible. And a DJ will be on site to provide a carnival atmosphere.

The Armagh Stars would like to thank their sponsors City Property Services & ADL Group as well as the Belfast Giants for their support in help organising this event, and encourage all members of the public to come down on the day and take part in what should be a great event.
