ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pigs Fly Media is a web design agency based in Armagh city. Currently in a growth expansion we are looking for a highly motivated web designer with entrepreneurial skills, interested in creating a long term career in web design marketing.
The preferred applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience working in the web design industry, however graduates with strong portfolios will also be considered for the role. The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of day to day business activities. These include:
• Face to face & telephone customer management (excellent communication skills)
• Project management (ability to handle multiple projects at a time)
• Web design development (including CMS / Ecommerce, SEO, Social Media Marketing)
• Graphic design development
• Office Management
The successful applicant must have the following skills:
• Open Source CMS experience (wordpress competence a necessity)
• Adobe Dreamweaver
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• CSS / HTML
• Jquery
• A strong grasp of user-centred design and brand awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Own vehicle
• SEO Knowledge
Additional software skills an advantage:
• SEOMOZ or (other Search engine optimization software)
• Adobe Flash Knowledge
• Video Software (Premier Pro, Final Cut, IMovie or similar style packages)
PREFERRED SKILLS
This is a superb opportunity for a self-motivated person who would like to grow a long term career with a developing company. The successful applicant must have excellent English and have strong communication skills. A history of SEO success an advantage. The contract is for a fixed 17month period, however, longer term employment would be a possibility.

The website was launched in early summer 2010, and since then Elements have approached us to create a separate e-Commerce website whereby customers can book a wide range of services and equipment. The e-Commerce wing of Elements online solution is a present a work in progress, but we will repost when their e-Commerce solution goes live.

One of our latest e-Commerce website solutions was created for Ice Machines Ireland. Company director Declan Slevin approached Pigs Fly Media to provide his business with a modern e-Commerce application for selling Ice Machine parts. Time management was a very important factor for Ice Machines Ireland. They needed a system which could be maintained very easily and would automatically process orders into various purchase formats, such as invoice creation, package slips creation etc.
Ice Machines Ireland also wanted a customer account system where their customers could login to track the progress of their order and view all their purchase history. As with all e-Commerce websites Search Engine Optimisation is hugely important for Ice Machines Ireland, to help drive traffic to their website via the major search engines. Pigs Fly Media are now working closely with Ice Machines Ireland on a 4 month Search Engine Optimisation plan to kick-start their business.

Belfast based aerospace design company Nacelle Systems Consultancy Ltd have signed up to Pigs Fly Media to design and create their new website solution.
Nacelle Systems Consultancy was created to fulfill a niche in the aerospace market whereby a core of highly experienced engineers, leading a carefully chosen team, could provide a design service that really applies ‘lessons learnt’ to meet the most aggressive schedules ‘right this time’.
The NSC principal engineers have different backgrounds and skills, but with one important quality in common: They have the reputation as the people to call in when the job has to be done right, and has to be done right now.

When Rumour coffee opened for business in 2008 they came to Pigs Fly Media to help them create a brand. We worked closely with them to create a unique identity which they could easily franchise in later years. After their first year in business Rumour won the Armagh City chamber of commerce “Best Business website 2009″
This was a very proud achievement for both Rumour Coffee and Pigs Fly Media. Rumour is driven with a desire to think out side the box, in a location where modern business ideas are not commonly embraced. Rumour approached Pigs Fly Media to create for them a full e-Commerce website whereby customers could order their lunches from the comfort of their homes or offices and have them delivered fresh.
Rumour Coffee are the first ever restaurant/cafe business in Armagh City to offer its customers an online ordering service.
One of Rumours most important requirements from their new site was that all orders made online would automatically alert the staff in the restaurant, so the order can be processed and delivered quickly.
Pigs Fly Media offered two formats to Rumour to perform this task. The first was an automatic order printing system which would print out the online order immediately as it was processed beside the shop checkout. The second option was an automatic email / text message alert system linked to a stationed iphone beside the in store checkout. Rumour decided the iphone system was best for them and now all orders placed online automatically transfers the order details directly to the stationed iphone.

Christopher Mc Ardle has joined Pigs Fly Media as a Creative Designer. 
Chris is a graduate of the University Of Ulster Jordanstown, where
he graduated in Interactive Multimedia and Design. In 2007 Chris spent a placement year with Pigs Fly Media and became a valuable member of the company during this time.
Since graduating Chris has been working as a freelance web and graphic designer. Over the last year we have overseen a consistant growth in our organisation, and as a result we saw the need to increase our staff. We are very happy to have Chris onboard in a full time capacity and look forward to his creative input.
